Sampler
As a sampler, you’ll work alongside the drill crew to collect samples and help keep the sampling schedule running smoothly.
Location: On site – FIFO (WA), DIDO (Peel Region)
A typical day in the life:
- Collecting and organising samples
- Helping to maintain drilling and sampling equipment
- Prepping sample reports
- Sampling, bore construction and developing mud pits and sumps, monitoring drill equipment, setting up additional equipment, drill and consumable sharpening and handling
- Carrying out general tasks including stocktakes and store duties, cleaning and organising work areas
Skills, experience and qualifications that will help you in this role include:
- Certificate II in Drilling
- C Class manual driver’s licence, with heavy rigid or above highly desirable
- Current senior first aid certificate
- Mechanical aptitude
- Over 18 years of age
