Mick Garrity, Maintenance Manager at the FMG Solomon site has been named as the first winner of the newly introduced JSW employee recognition program, the JWB Award.
The quarterly award recognises an individual for their consistent high quality of teamwork, productivity and leadership alongside an ongoing commitment to our values of passion, determination, collaboration and safety. These skills and attributes provide a tangible benefit to crews on site and drive the success of the business as a whole.
Mick has been recognised for his extensive knowledge of drill maintenance and continuous efforts to pass on this knowledge and improve his own skill set. It is this knowledge that has seen consistent mechanical availability of RC drills at the FMG Solomon site, resulting in consistent utilisation of equipment.
The JWB Award will be presented on a quarterly basis, with nominees selected by their line manager or site supervisor and the winner chosen by senior staff. Nominees will also be eligible for the Employee of the Year Award, awarded at the end of each year.
