Our new BBURG HD2500RC rig is complete and has arrived on site at our Solomon project in WA’s Pilbara region.
In partnership with German drill manufacturer, BBURG, the rig was fully assembled and customised at our Bibra Lake workshop to meet the unique needs of the project site and to support our and the client’s safety goals.
Its wireless remote control makes it safer to operate by removing people from hazards and dropped object zones while enhancing grade control and sampling performance in the challenging Pilbara terrain. The new BBURG has joined its sister rig onsite – our first BBURG HD2500RC. The original BBURG has been successfully undertaking grade control at the mine since July 2020, producing exceptional outcomes in terms of safety, noise reduction and productivity. Congratulations to everyone involved in this project, it is a great example of our specialised drilling capability and best-for-project approach.
