KEREN PATERSON, FINALIST OF THE 2020 OUTSTANDING WOMEN IN RESOURCES AWARD
JSW has collaborated with leading international drill developer BBurg to develop a rig capable of handing difficult terrain at its Solomon operation in the Pilbara. The innovation is part of the on-going evolution of the JSW fleet, which will see more new drills added during 2020.
JSW truck-mounted RC rigs have been involved in the first drilling at the Vidure polymetallic project at Youanmi in WA’s central west.
The results have been promising, with an extensive zone of platinum and palladium enriched disseminated nickel and copper mineralisation revealed at a shallow depth, prompting client Venus Metals to launch an extensive drilling program to test the mineralisation at depth.
JSW’s mineral division has expanded its services at BHP’s Nickel West operations.
New work includes Grade Control & RC Exploration drilling at BHPs Leinster and Yakabindie mines and follows the successful completion of continuous grade control services that have been provided since 2004.
JSW’s focus on implementing the highest safety standards in every project they undertake, has seen the company achieve an incredible five years without Lost Time Injuries (LTI), on 1 September 2019.
